Shrine of Honor

Worked on this piece for 5 weeks halftime. Lowpolys were made in Maya, highpolys sculpted in zBrush. All assets were textured in Substance Painter. Rendered in Unreal Engine 4.

Initially loosely inspired by the game "For Honor", the concept and birth for this project centered around the idea that the shrine served as a holy place for Knights before they went to battle: a place were they prayed to the crystal for victory and good fortune.

Furthermore, early on, I knew I wanted to make a cutout of an environment. However, as time went on, I realized it could be interesting to make a literal cutout.
